The DA62's dominance comes from three things that run through almost every mission: its 10-hour endurance, its 710 kg payload that accommodates multiple sensor types simultaneously, and its real-time SATCOM data link that turns it into an airborne command post rather than just an observation platform.
The DA62 MPP detects the fire, maps the perimeter, transmits coordinates. The Fire Bird puts retardant on it. The DA62 MPP surveys the crop stress zones. The 710P+ treats them.
Without the Thrush aircraft, the Diamond platforms generate intelligence that someone else has to act on - with outside equipment, outside operators, outside contracts. With Thrush in the fleet, the entire loop closes within the Egmont ecosystem.
