In early September Egmont Aviation was welcomed by two of Tashkent's leading universities: Tashkent State Transport University and Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
The meetings were devoted to opportunities for developing aviation education in Uzbekistan in line with international standards. Both sides looked at how universities and an experienced flight training organisation can work together to prepare the next generation of aviation professionals.
Areas of cooperation discussed:
➤ Modern flight training approaches. Contemporary pilot training methods in line with international and EASA standards;
➤ Practical education. Hands-on learning that gives students real experience of modern aircraft and flight operations;
➤ Industry-oriented programmes. Curricula shaped by the real needs of airlines, airports and aviation operators;
➤ Academic knowledge meets real operations. Stronger links between what students study at university and how aviation works in practice.
Aviation in Central Asia is developing quickly and with it the demand for well-prepared pilots, engineers and aviation specialists. Partnerships between universities and training organisations help bring international standards, modern training technology and practical operating experience directly into the classroom. For students, that means a clearer path from theory to a professional career in aviation.
Egmont Aviation expresses its sincere gratitude to both universities for their hospitality and the constructive dialogue. We look forward to developing these initiatives further and building a long-term partnership that contributes to the continued growth of aviation education in Uzbekistan.
