Egmont Aviation presents its Flight Inspection Solutions at the 4th CANSO Euro-Asia ANSP CEO Summit, held on 9-10 September and hosted by the Center "Uzaeronavigation" in Tashkent.
The summit brought together leaders from international regulatory bodies, regional air navigation service providers and key industry stakeholders, including ICAO, EUROCONTROL, CANSO and UzCAA, as well as ANSPs from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The agenda covered regional traffic flow, applications of artificial intelligence, airspace resilience and green ATM initiatives.
As part of the official programme, Egmont Aviation delivered a dedicated presentation "Use of Special-Purpose Aircraft: A New Era of Flight Inspection for ANSPs." The presentation looked at how purpose-built aircraft can support air navigation service providers in keeping navigation infrastructure accurate, reliable and safe.
Navigation aids such as ILS, VOR, DME and NDB must be checked regularly in the air to confirm that the signals pilots rely on are accurate. Dedicated flight inspection aircraft carry out this calibration work, helping ANSPs maintain the safety and efficiency of the airspace they manage.
